P.L. 110-181 - The Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008

On January 28, 2008, the President signed H.R. 4986, the Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008, as P.L. 110-181. The bill contains a provision that would require the Inspector General of each "covered non-defense agency" (NIH listed), to review procurement policies and determine whether the agency is in compliance with these policies; there is a specific deadline for NIH of March 15, 2012. H.R. 4986 replaced H.R. 1585, which the President pocket-vetoed on December 28, 2007.
