The 2000 PRISM Awards, presented last March in Los Angeles, will be broadcast for television this summer. Beginning in August, the 44-minute program will be carried by the 22-station Tribune Broadcasting group with outlets in metro areas including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C.
Produced by Emmy Award-winner Hank Saroyan, the program features Dr. Alan I. Leshner and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Vice President Ms. Nancy Kauffman, along with many of the performers, producers, directors, and scriptwriters who were honored at the awards ceremony. Entertainers appearing in the show include Michael Keaton, Jon Voight, Ted Danson, Martin Sheen, Coolio, Sarah McLachlan, Regis Philbin, and Tahj Mowry.
