The National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) announces a conference focusing on areas where the fields of developmental biology and kidney injury, disease, and repair research interconnect, with the goal of encouraging collaboration between investigators working in these areas. Plenary talks, selected short talks, and a poster session will provide a forum for interactions between investigators. A discussion panel is planned to articulate areas of opportunity for developmental biologists to explore in the arena of injury and repair, and for investigators focused on disease and repair to incorporate developmental concepts into their research plans.
