Continuing Education

The Office of Research on Women’s Health, Office of the Director, National Institutes of Health; The Office of Women’s Health, Food and Drug Administration; and The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine present The Science of Sex and Gender in Human Health, a free online course. Participants who complete all six lesson quizzes with a score of at least 70 percent and complete a brief course evaluation form will receive credit. Participants who are not physicians will receive a certificate from Johns Hopkins University.

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, The National Institutes of Health, and The U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

How to Receive Credit

To receive continuing education for successful completion of a course, you must:

  1. Be eligible to receive credit from one of the accrediting organizations.
  2. Register.
  3. Login with the e-mail address and password you used to register.
  4. Complete each quiz within a lesson with at least 70 percent accuracy. You can check your progress by clicking on My Account.
  5. Complete the evaluation form, accessible from the My Account page, once all of the lesson quizzes have been successfully completed.
  6. Once you have completed steps one through five, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine will be notified that you have completed the course.
  7. Your certificate will be mailed to you.
