Position Description: A postdoctoral position is available in a research program focused on global gene regulation and transcription control in H. pylori pathogenesis. This gastric pathogen infects more than half of the worlds population and has been linked to human gastritis, ulcers and gastric cancer. Of particular interests are the transcription apparatus that respond to environmental cues and the bacterial stress responses overcoming the host innate immune response including macrophages. We use an integrated approach of genetics, biochemistry, molecular and cell biology to investigate the issues.
Experience Required: Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or an M.D. with less than five years of postdoctoral experience, and have a strong background in molecular biology, immunology and/or microbiology. The salary range is commensurate with experience.
