York Soccer Star Vilsaint Finishes Season among NCAA Leaders York Soccer Star Vilsaint Finishes Season among NCAA Leaders - The 2008 NCAA Division III soccer season concluded this past weekend and York College sophomore Elysee Vilsaint finished the season ranked among the country’s elite. Vilsaint, the 2008 CUNY Athletic Conference Player of the Year, finished the season ranked third in the country in goals per game (1.18), sixth in points per game (2.53), and eighth in goals scored (20). Cripps, Michael Cripps, Michael- Associate Professor
Department of English

Michael J. Cripps, Associate Professor of English, is the Coordinator for the College-Wide Writing Program. He is also the Coordinator for Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) at York College. He is Assistant Editor for Across the Disciplines: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Language, Literacy, and Academic Writing, the major online peer-reviewed journal for WAC/WID scholarship housed at The WAC Clearinghouse at Colorado State University.  He is also a founding editor of The York Scholar, a journal of undergraduate research writing at the College. Professor Cripps teaches freshman composition, and a variety of other writing and Writing Intensive courses.

His research interests include writing program administration, organizational change processes, and new media. He is engaged in an ongoing study of graduate student professional development in writing programs that employ doctoral candidates from across the disciplines. His 2004 article in Computers & Composition Online, "#FFFFFF, #000000, & #808080: Hypertext Theory and WebDev in the Composition Classroom," won the 2005 Kairos Best Webtext Award, and earlier work was a finalist for that same award in 2003.
