BATON ROUGE, La. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Louisiana Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness have announced grant funding for several large projects in Louisiana.

Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry $1.8 million* Reimbursement of costs associated with fuel storage, allocations and distribution to support emergency operations.
Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry $4.4 million* Reimbursement for coordinating fuel distribution for emergency fuel.
Military Department State of Louisiana $1.7 million* Site preparation for 120 interim house trailers at Esler Airfield near Camp Beauregard.
Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff's Office $1.3 million* Replace 92 destroyed vehicles, one utility trailer and one concession trailer.
Orleans Parish $1.2 million* Remodel existing structure to allow criminal court to conduct temporary operations.
Orleans Parish $1.2 million* Remove, haul and dispose of three metal sheds which are an immediate threat to human health and safety.

*Dollars reflect FEMA's cost share.

The grants are part of ongoing federal reimbursements to state and local government agencies and certain non-profit agencies that provide essential government-like services for disaster-related expenses. The grants will continue until all eligible costs have been reimbursed. FEMA Public Assistance
