AUSTIN, Texas -- Contractors and business owners interested in working with the federal government following Hurricane Ike can learn more about how to do that in a free workshop.

This Disaster Contracting with Local Vendors workshop will be held Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon at San Luis Resort, 5222 Seawall Blvd., Galveston, TX 77551.

The event is sponsored by FEMA, the Galveston Chamber of Commerce, The San Luis Resort and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
