AUSTIN, Texas Contractors interested in learning how to prepare bids and proposals to do business with the federal government following Hurricane Ike have a chance to attend a free class sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Galveston County Small Business Development Center.
The workshop, Bid and Proposal Preparation, will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Galveston County Small Business Development Center, 8419 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, Texas City, TX 77591.
Attendance does not guarantee contract award.
Participants will learn how to:
- Respond effectively to bid invitations.
- Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
- Utilize available local resources.
- Develop a strong proposal.
