AUSTIN, Texas -- If you are an individual with a special need, you may require more detailed planning to prepare for the 2006 hurricane season. According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency, there are some things you may want to consider:

FEMA manages federal response and recovery efforts following any national incident.
