Baton Rouge, LA -- Louisiana Disaster Recovery Centers will change their hours effective June 21. The new hours will be Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m.- 6:00p.m., and Sunday, 1:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

The Disaster Recovery Centers were opened jointly by the Louisiana Office of Emergency Preparedness (LOEP) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help victims of Tropical Storm Allison. The centers are located at:

Assistance and information for people who have experienced damages and losses from Tropical Storm Allison is available at the centers. Representatives of state, federal and voluntary agencies are on hand to discuss disaster programs. These programs include temporary housing, individual and family grants, disaster unemployment assistance, and low-interest loans for homeowners, renters, and business owners from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

If your home or business received damages from Tropical Storm Allison, you should register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for assistance. The toll-free teleregistration number is 1-800-462-9029, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (CDT), daily, until further notice. Those with hearing and speech impairments can register by calling the TTY at1-800-462-7585.
