SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- A Disaster Recovery Center is scheduled to open in Gonzales on Mon. Nov. 2, to serve the victims of the severe storms, flooding and tornadoes that began Oct. 17, according to state and federal disaster officials.
The center will be located at the Norwest Bank, 301 St. Joseph Street, and will operate on opening day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Subsequent hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.
Individuals may go to the recovery center to:
- have questions answered regarding the various types of disaster assistance available
- receive help in filling out low-interest U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loan packages for homeowners, renters and non-farm businesses of all sizes
- turn in completed SBA loan packets
- check on the status of their application
Literature and information will be available on a variety of federal, state and voluntary agency programs.
