Disaster Recovery Centers Will Be Closed On Sundays

Corpus Christi, TX -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State of Texas announce that beginning on Dec. 8 all Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) will be closed on Sundays. The centers will continue to serve those in need Mon.-Sat. from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Currently, a short-term DRC is open in Conroe at the Lone Star Convention and Exposition Building, 9055 FM 1484. This center will be open for three days only, Dec. 2-4 (Mon.-Wed.).

At these centers, individuals may receive information about various programs, check the status of applications, apply for loans and grants, obtain tax forms to file for disaster losses and get tips on rebuilding and preventing losses from future disasters.

Individuals who sustained disaster-related losses as a result of the tornadoes, severe storms and flooding from Oct. 24 - Nov. 15, must re-register for this disaster even though they may have received assistance for a previous disaster. Those who have not yet registered need to call 1-800-621 FEMA (3362) or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for the speech or hearing impaired. The registration lines are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week until further notice.
