Disaster Recovery Centers Hours To Change

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Hours of operation for the Hurricane Bret Disaster Recovery Centers will change on Monday, according to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Texas Division of Emergency Management officials.

Starting Monday, Sept. 20, operating hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day Monday through Saturday. Centers are open at the following four locations:

Before visiting the centers, flood victims should first register for disaster assistance by calling the FEMA toll-free registration number, 1-800-462-9029, or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (CST), Monday through Saturday .

Residents of who suffered losses or damage as a result of Hurricane Bret also can update, amend, withdraw or check the status of a submitted application by calling the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-525-0321 or 1-800-660-8005 (TTY) for the hearing impaired.

The counties designated as disaster areas are Aransas, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Nueces, San Patricio, Webb, and Willacy.
