Acronymology

ac.ro.nym.o.logy \'ak-r*-.nim'a:l-*-je-\ n [acr- + -onym (as in homonym), + -logie -logy]] : the study of words (as radar, snafu) formed from the initial letter or letters of each of the successive parts or major parts of a compound term.

We are the Molecular Information Theory Group, in the Center for Cancer Research Nanobiology Program (CCRNP), Center for Cancer Research (CCR) a part of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), in the campus of the NCI-Frederick, Frederick County Frederick Maryland 21702, USA, earth, solar system, universe. NIH is part of the Department of Health and Human Services of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government, United States of America.
