Project Scientist: Longitudinal Assessment of Bariatric Surgery Consortium

Manage Clinical Obesity and Nutrition research portfolio (biomedical and behavioral

aspects of obesity and nutrition). This portfolio encompasses clinical studies of obesity

investigating appetite and food intake, energy expenditure (including physical activity),

body composition, or impact of obesity and its treatment (medical/surgical therapies) on

metabolic factors, psychosocial factors, or co-morbid conditions in adults; the

physiological and metabolic consequences of weight loss or weight gain; the effects of

exercise and diet composition on appetite and weight control; and the individual

variability in energy utilization and thermogenesis in humans; Serve as Program

Director of the Clinical Nutrition Research Units (CNRU) and Obesity Nutrition

Research Centers (ONRC). Serve as Project Scientist of the Longitudinal Assessment of

Bariatric Surgery (LABS), a multi site clinical study of bariatric surgery.
