ALEXANDER ANNOUNCES GRANT FUNDING FOR LELAND WATER SYSTEM, INC.
Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-Quitman, today announced that the Leland Water System, Inc. will receive a $239,000 grant from the United States Department of Agriculture, which will be used to construct a 100,000-gallon elevated storage tank to replace a hydropneumatic tank.
"This grant will help protect the residents living in Leland and surrounding areas," Alexander said.
"Improving our water systems is imperative to ultimately improving our communities and way of life."
This funding will help enable the Leland Water System to eliminate pressure problems and provide an adequate supply of clean, safe drinking water.
