2. How do I sign up for an acquisition or project officer course?

3. How do I receive DHHS Acquisition Certification? 

You apply to the Acquisition Certification Board. The Board reviews your training, experience and performance and decides whether to grant certification. The certification allows an individual to be granted procurement authority. Note that actually being granted this authority is a separate action. See the acquisition certifications page for details.

4. How do I get a warrant?

First, get certified (see above), then have your office request a warrant for you. Note that this is typically reserved to Contract Specialists above $100,000, and to Purchasing Agents up to $100,000. See the Warrants page for more information.
