Current Position:
Senior Advisor, Diabetes Translational Research

Current Portfolio/Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of clinical translation and clinical treatment grants for type 2 diabetes. 
Run the Type 1 Diabetes – Rapid Access to Intervention Development preclinical drug development program. 

Program official for the TINSAL-T2D study, an efficacy study of salsalate in

      type 2 diabetes. 

Participate in other large, NIDDK clinical studies including HEALTHY and Longitudinal

      Assessment of Bariatric Surgery. 

Lead the Clinical Team within DEM
