Linda Chavez
(b. June 17, 1947)
Linda Chavez has been called an influential voice on civil rights policy. She is currently President of the Center for Equal Opportunity and is the author of “Out of the Barrio,” a book about Hispanic progress and achievement, the implications of bilingual education, voting rights, immigration and affirmative action. She has held a number of political positions and currently sits on the Board of Directors for several non?profit organizations.
