Fellowship Program Requirements and Details
Fellowships are awarded under the National Cancer Institute's Cancer Research Training Award Program and the National Institutes of Health Visiting Program.
Qualifications |
Applicants must have an M.D., doctoral or other equivalent degree, or be pursuing such a degree. The degree should be in a discipline related to cancer etiology or prevention research (e.g., epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, human or molecular genetics, or the biomedical, public health or behavioral sciences). |
Eligibility |
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, resident aliens or foreign nationals with a valid training visa. |
Duration of Fellowship |
The initial fellowship award is for two years; it may be renewed for up to three additional years. |
Stipend |
The specific position and stipend are determined by the fellow's degree and years of relevant experience; an increase is given annually. |

- Three letters of recommendation.
