Albinism Database
The Albinism Database is produced by the International Albinism Center at the University of Minnesota. This database includes mutations
associated with OCA1 (mutations of the tyrosinase gene), OCA2 (mutations of the P gene), OCA3 (mutations of the tyrosinase related
protein-1), Hermansky Pudlak Syndrome (HPS1), Chediak Higashi Syndrome (CHS1) and X-linked ocular albinism (OA1). The Albinism
Database is part of the HUGO Mutation Database Initiative. |

Getting microarray data into, and out of, the GEO database
Abstract: Most journals and funding agencies require that microarray data are deposited with a public repository, such as the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database at NCBI. Consequently, GEO now stores data for over 160,000 microarray hybridizations and continues to grow rapidly. In this talk, I'll address the interests of both data providers and data consumers. First, I'll outline the GEO submission process, including what information submitters are asked to supply and which formats are supported. Then I'll summarize the various data mining tools and download formats we've developed to help users exploit these huge volumes of data. I'll also briefly discuss where we stand on standards, and what we plan to do with non-expression high-throughput data types.
