Health Effects

Caution! Uncured product causes irritation to eyes. Eye protection recommended. In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with water for 15 minutes. If irritation persists, get medical attention. Remove contact lenses before using sealant. Do not handle lenses until all skin has been cleaned from finger tips, nails and cuticles. Residual sealant may remain on fingers for several days and transfer to lenses and cause severe eye irritation. Product releases ammonia during application and curing. Inhalation: Causes mild respiratory irritation. Applies only in uncured state. Eye Contact: Uncured product contact irritates eyes. Skin Contact: Uncured product contact will irritate lips, gums and tongue. Uncured product contact may irritate the skin. Ingestion: May be harmful if swallowed. Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: None known. Product releases methanol (1-3% by weight) and ammonia (0.1-0.3% by weight) during cure process.

Handling/Disposal
|

Keep container closed when not in use. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Remove contact lenses before using sealant. Do not handle lenses until all sealant has been cleaned from the fingertips, nails and cuticles. Residual sealant may remain on fingers for several days and transfer to lenses and cause severe eye irritation. Use mechanical ventilation to stay below TLV or 25 ppm ammonia. Product releases methanol during application and curing (methanol TLV = 200 ppm). Product releases ammonia during application and curing. Uncured product contact may irritate eyes and skin.

Dispose of in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Incineration recommended in approved incinerator according to federal, state, and local regulations.
