An award-winning site, www.kidshealth.org provides up-to-date information on healthy eating, the food guide pyramid, food labels, physical activity, games, and much more. Click on the category Staying Healthy to learn the importance of eating breakfast or why exercise is cool. The site also features articles for teens and parents on nutrition, healthy weight, physical activity, and eating disorders. Articles are also available in Spanish. Developed by The Nemours Foundation’s Center for Children’s Health Media.

National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA)

Learn more about binge eating and other eating disorders by visiting www.nationaleatingdisorders.org. The site promotes a positive body image and healthy eating habits for all ages. It describes NEDA’s programs, offers information on eating disorders and treatment methods, and includes educational materials. Users can access a toll-free information line and referral line to support groups, doctors, and therapists. Additional features include a parent and family network, internships, and volunteer opportunities.
