Lindsey M. Hoskins, M.S., L.G.M.F.T.

Biography

Ms. Hoskins completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies, Human Development and Psychology at the University of Arizona in 2002. She is a 2005 graduate of the University of Maryland Marriage and Family Therapy program, and is currently working toward her Ph.D. in Family Science at the University of Maryland.  Ms. Hoskins is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  In addition to her doctoral work with the Clinical Genetics Branch, Ms. Hoskins also teaches undergraduate courses at the University of Maryland and maintains a small private practice.  She joined the Clinical Genetics Branch in February 2005 as a Special Volunteer, and is currently a Cancer Research Training Award (CRTA) fellow.

Research Interests

Ms. Hoskins' major research interests focus on psychosocial and interpersonal relationship issues related to familial/hereditary cancers. She is currently investigating the psychosocial and relational implications of early knowledge of BRCA1/2 mutation-positive status in young women.
