Abstract:   This monograph is the first to report on the risk of new malignancies in a large population of over 2 million cancer survivors, utilizing data from NCI's Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) Program over the 27-year period 1973 to 2000. This report systematically examines the risks of subsequent cancers for more than 50 adult and 18 childhood tumors, with data presented by gender, age at diagnosis of the initial cancer, and time since diagnosis, as well as the initial treatment and histologic type of certain cancers. 9/2006
