IIG

The Immunology Interest Group (IIG) organizes activities designed to promote information exchange and interactions among NIH scientists interested in the field of immunology, broadly defined. Interactions are facilitated via weekly meetings on current topics as well as an Annual Immunology Retreat.

The 2009 Immunology Retreat will be held from September 23-25 at the Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania 2008 Immunology Retreat.

All IIG activities are organized by the Steering Committee, whose members are elected annually by the entire IIG community before the Immunology Retreat.

The newly elected 2009 IIG Steering Committee members are:

Arian Laurence (fellow, NIAMS), Eric Long (tenured, NIAID), Katrin Mayer (fellow, NIAID), Paul Mittelstadt (staff scientist, NCI), Ainhoa Perez-Diez (staff scientist, NIAID), Barbara Rehermann (tenured, NIDDK), Juan Rivera (tenured, NIAMS), Art Shaffer (staff scientist, NCI), Steve Shaw (tenured, NCI), Kristin Tarbell (tenure-track, NIDDK), Mark Wilson (fellow, NEI), Elisabeth Wohlfert (fellow, NIAID), Tom Wynn (tenured, NIAID), and Sam Xiao (tenure-track, NIAID).

IIG seminars are typically held every Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. in the Lipsett Auditorium in Building 10. All Immunology Interest Seminars will be available for remote viewing from the NIH VideoCast site. The meetings will be listed in upcoming events and they will be listed under "Today's events" on the days of the webcasts. For past seminars, on-demand viewing of video recordings will be posted to the Immunology Interest Group Sessions of the Videocast site.

You may want to download and install the latest free version of Real Player software, called RealPlayer Basic, from Real.com. Please see the videocast FAQ for more information about downloading and installing Real Player software. If you have a question that is not answered by the videocast FAQ, call CIT's Technical Assistance and Support Center (TASC) at 301-594-6248 or send email to tasc@nih.gov.
