BCTT
The purpose of the Breast Cancer Think Tank (BCTT)is to build a community of investigators working together for the prevention and cure of breast cancer. The BCTT was established in 1997 to foster the collaborations across divisions, throughout NIH, and beyond, to further collective breast cancer research. The BCTT membership consists of approximately 150 individuals from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Department of Defense (DOD), and a number of advocates/consumers. Edison Liu, Director of DCS, appointed a Steering Committee to provide direction for its programs and to allocate funds for projects and programs that are important to the goals of the BCTT community. The work of the BCTT is conducted through retreats, workshops, working groups which meet to share information and set common goals. The BCTT is holding their annual retreat on July 19-20, 2001.
