Dr. Yantian Zhang is a Program Director in the Division of Applied Science and Technology at the NIBIB. Before joining NIBIB, he worked in the NIH intramural program. He came to the NIH as a staff scientist in 1998 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he was on the faculty of biomedical engineering department after a year of post-doctoral research. He had training in Electrical and Biomedical engineering and received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan in 1994. He is interested in technical development in magnetic resonance imaging, MR physics, MRI application and translation research in functional imaging and flow imaging, molecular imaging, optical imaging, and medical signal/image processing.
