A. Staff Travel
1. For information on all matters pertaining to official domestic and
foreign travel, initially contact your IC Travel Assistant (see list below).
If additional assistance is necessary: for information on passports and
visas call 301-496-3441; for information regarding travel policy call
the NIH Central Travel Policy Office, 301-435-2927.
2. For making staff travel airline reservations, both foreign and domestic, and for checking
on the status of reservations or other information regarding services while
in travel status, i.e., hotels, rental cars etc., call Omega World Travel
toll free at 1-800-419-2312.
3. For permanent change of station travel and shipment of household goods
for both civilians and commissioned officers, call 301-496-1595.
4. For questions concerning the Travel Management Center Contract for Staff
Travel, please contact the Program Specialist, Division of Travel and
Transportation Services, Office of Research Services on 301-451-9299.
5. For making VIP travel airlines reservations, both foreign and domestic, and for checking on the status of reservations or other information regarding services while in travel status, i.e. hotels, rental cars etc., call Omega World Travel VIP Desk at 301-984-1625.
6. For making reservations for "Group Travel Services" with a record of call (ROC) please call 1-800-723-9403.
B. Patient Travel
1. For questions concerning the Travel Management Center Contract for CC
Patient Travel, please contact the Co-Project Officer, Clinical Center
on 301-496-2341.
2. For making airline reservations for Patient travel call Omega World
Travel on 301-496-6676.
3. Patient travel: complete a Request for Admission/Travel/SACP/Local
Transportation, form NIH 54 with authorizing physician’s signature
and route to the Admissions Office of the Clinical Center, Building 10,
Main Lobby, North, Room 1-5612.
4. Reservations will be made and tickets purchased by the Clinical Center
Omega World Travel Office, Building 10, Room 1-4553. Call 301-496-6676
for information and assistance.
