Office of Science and Technology

The Office of Science and Technology (OST) at the NHLBI provides support to the Institute's Director and Institute Divisions and Offices. It establishes goals and implements procedures and policies to accomplish them, coordinates legislative issues, develops and coordinates Institute-wide computerized information systems, coordinates and provides guidance concerning international cooperative research activities, and coordinates the Institute's technology transfer function. The OST comprises six programs: Program Studies and Reports; Science and Special Issues; Legislation and Public Liaison; Information Resources and Technology; Technology Transfer and Development; and International Programs.
