This meeting is sponsored by National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), National Institute Health (NIH), and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

Venue

This half-day meeting on Monday, June 14, 2004, will be held in the Athens/Berlin Conference Room at the Hilton Hotel – Chicago O’Hare Airport, Chicago, Illinois.

Background

Six academic research centers comprise the NIEHS Toxicogenomics Research Consortium (TRC). The member centers are Duke University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Oregon Health and Sciences University (OSHU), Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center/University of Washington (FHCRC/UW), University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), and the NIEHS Microarray Group. Research conducted under the TRC serves to expand the knowledge of biological responses to environmental stress through the application of gene expression technologies to toxicology; to develop standards and practices for cross-platform gene expression data validation and interpretation; and contribute to the development of a robust relational database for gene expression profile signature data.

The TRC hosts two scientific meetings a year. This is a joint meeting of the Cooperative Research Program of the TRC and the TRC Steering Committee.
