Reprogramming in Mouse Preimplantation Embryos and Stem Cells: The National Institute on Aging, a major research component of the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Health and Human Services, is recruiting for postdoctoral positions in the Developmental Genomics and Aging Section of the Laboratory of Genetics. | |
A postdoctoral Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) is available to investigate the mechanism of gene expression regulation in mouse preimplantation embryos and embryonic stem cells. A candidate should hold a Ph.D., D.V.M., or M.D. in reproductive biology, developmental biology, genetics, molecular biology, or other relevant field. A highly motivated candidate with strong interests in reprogramming, zygotic genome activation, and pluripotency is desirable. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in mouse embryo manipulation, including pronuclear injection, ES cell injection, and oviductal embryo transfer. The work utilizes embryogenomics approach, such as DNA microarray, high-throughput DNA sequencing, and bioinformatics. See Hamatani et al. (2004) Dev. Cell. 6: 117-131 and Falco et al. (2007) Dev.
