Postdoctoral Training Opportunity
Chromatin Remodeling and Transcription: The National Institute on Aging (NIA) is recruiting a postdoctoral position within the Intramural Research Program in the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Biology, in the Chromatin Structure and Function Unit, led by Michael Pazin, Ph.D.
We study chromatin remodeling using cell-based and biochemical systems. We are investigating the role of ATP-dependent remodeling enzymes in regulating gene expression. We use T cells and Neuronal cells as model systems. We utilize primary cells and cell lines, knockdowns, chromatin immunoprecipitation, and affinity purification of protein complexes. Experience with chromatin immunoprecipitation, culture of primary T cells or neurons, or biochemical assays with purified proteins is desired.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree and less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience in molecular biology/biochemistry. Salary is commensurate with research experience, according to the NIH intramural pay scale. Our laboratories are spacious and well-equipped. Baltimore is a stimulating scientific and cultural environment, hosting the NIA, universities, and biotech.
Interested applicants should send a letter describing research interests and professional goals, as well as a curriculum vitae or resume and three letters of reference to:
