Statistical Methods for Genetic Association Studies

Principal investigator: James F. Troendle, Ph.D.
In birth defects research it is common to sample triads (mother, father, case child) for genetic testing to find genes associated with disease. Research is being conducted on statistical methods to analyze such studies. One result is new methodology that uses a monotone restricted likelihood approach to obtain tests with high power across the most likely genetic risk models.
