Biosketch: 
Susan Taymans, Ph.D., joined the RSB in November 1999, and is Director of the Reproductive Genetics and Epigenetics Program, and the Basic Ovarian Biology Program. Her portfolio encompasses research in sex determination, the genetics of reproductive aging, infertility genetics, and non-Mendelian inheritance in reproduction; and follicle endowment, follicle and oocyte development, ovulation, luteal function, and ovarian pathologies that affect fertility. Dr. Taymans also oversees the branch's T32 training grants. Dr. Taymans received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her doctorate in Molecular Endocrinology from the University of Maryland. She held pre- and post-doctoral Intramural Research Training Award positions in the NICHD intramural program before coming to the extramural community. Her research background is in molecular endocrinology, endocrine genetics, and positional cloning.
