Accelerated Approval of APTIVUS The U.S.
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted accelerated approval of
APTIVUS
(tipranavir), a protease inhibitor. APTIVUS co-administered with low-dose
ritonavir is indicated for use as part of combination antiretroviral treatment
of HIV-1 infected adult patients who have HIV-1 strains resistant to multiple
protease inhibitors. New Perinatal Fact
