New National Library of Medicine
Special Information Services Website
The
Division of Specialized Information Services (SIS), National Library of Medicine (NLM),
has redesigned and released a new look for it’s SIS Web site, which is
dedicated to creating information resources and services in toxicology,
environmental health, chemistry, and HIV/AIDS. Another component of SIS, the Office of Outreach and
Special Populations, seeks to improve access to quality and accurate
health information by underserved and special populations. Click here to check it out.
Consumer Fact Sheets
The AIDSinfo
staff has developed a popular series of fact sheets to supplement the
HIV/AIDS treatment guidelines. They were created for consumer audiences to
make the guidelines information easier to understand. Some of the topics
covered in the fact sheets include: Testing HIV
Positive - Do I Have AIDS?, HIV
and Its Treatment: What You Should Know, Side
Effects of Anti-HIV Medications, HIV
During Pregnancy, Adhering to
My HIV Treatment Regimen. We update these fact sheets
regularly, so they are accurate, succinct, and easily accessible. To see what
other topics are covered in this series go to the AIDSinfo Fact Sheet and
Booklets page of
the site.
