1. Discussion about Vision Committee Plans

Meeting was designed to discuss the issue of the future for the IAO Group meetings. Topics discussed included: Should there be a formal charter for this group? Should there be more involvement with NIH committees such as the EOs. Should there be a vision committee? Should there be formalized "topic" related subcommittees that could report to the main committee on a regular basis?

After much discussion, it was determined that more time was needed to discuss these important issues, so it was determined that a group would be formed to look at the possibility of an IAO retreat. This retreat could discuss the items above and possibly this might feed into relevant topics for the next EO/AO retreat. Possible topics for the IAO retreat include:

Volunteers for the committee included: Jeff, Donna, Laurie (later added were Mary and Katy)

Susan drafted an email to all the IAOs and asked their opinions about having a retreat and if we do, which topic(s) should be covered. The committee is working with that data to develop plans for a retreat.

Susan also coordinated with Lynn Hellinger to ensure that our IAO retreat does not interfere with any plans for the next EO/AO retreat
