As part of the year long celebration marking the 20th anniversary of the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR), NINR and the Clinical Center, Nursing and Patient Care Services are pleased to announce a conference to celebrate achievements in clinical nursing research and their application to practice at the National Institutes of Health.
Regional Research Society Meetings: Successful Research Mentoring Relationships Series

As part of the NINR 20th Anniversary celebration, the NINR will present a special panel session at each of the 2006 regional nursing research meetings focusing on research mentorship.  Each of these panel presentations will feature three pairs of mentors and mentees to explore lessons learned in effective mentoring. A NINR Program Director will moderate each of the sessions.

American Academy of Nursing 2005 Conference: The Emergence of Nursing Science as an Academic Discipline

The National Institute of Nursing Research will present this special session at the American Academy of Nursing Annual Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona on Friday, November 11, 2005. This presentation will take attendees on a walk through memory lane as two American Academy of Nursing Living Legends share their experiences before and during the first 20 years of the NINR.

Dr. Margretta Styles, former dean of the University of California, San Francisco, and Dr. Geraldene Felton, former dean of the University of Iowa; will present this lunch-time panel as part of the NINR 20th Anniversary celebration.
