Welcome to Caregiving Across the States

Here you'll find information on publicly-funded caregiver support programs in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. This information is adapted from a 50-state study published in November 2004, State of the States in Family Caregiver Support: A 50-State Study. You will find information on programs funded through the National Family Caregiver Support Program, Aged/Disabled Medicaid waivers, and state-funded programs that either have a caregiver-specific focus, or include a family caregiving component in their service package. Because programmatic data was collected for Fiscal Year 2003, some of these programs may no longer exist and other programs may have been developed since that time. In addition to the program data, this 50-state tool includes individual profiles with background characteristics and statistics for each state, with that data last updated in November 2007. Click here for an updated state profile.
