Where Are They Now?

Every year, college students at Minority Access to Research Careers and Minority Biomedical Research Support institutions receive training and lab experiences needed for careers in medical science. The following individuals were selected by their institutions as successful alumni who went on pursue scientific careers. We congratulate all former program participants on their accomplishments!

Dr. Omolola Eniola AdefesoOmolola Eniola Adefeso, Ph.D.
Adefeso is an assistant professor of chemical engineering at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

Dr. Lee AggisonLee Aggison, Ph.D.
Aggison is an associate professor of molecular and cell biology at the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Silvia BigattiSilvia Bigatti, Ph.D.
Bigatti is an associate professor of psychology at Indiana University Purdue University in Indianapolis.

Dr. Andrew CampbellAndrew G. Campbell, Ph.D.
Campbell is an associate professor of medical science at Brown University, where he also directs the Pathobiology Graduate Program.
Dr. Trachette JacksonTrachette Jackson, Ph.D.
Jackson is a professor of mathematics at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

Dr. Nomeli NunezNomeli Nuñez, Ph.D.
Nuñez is an assistant professor of nutritional sciences at the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Arlie O. Petters Arlie O. Petters, Ph.D.
Petters is a professor of mathematics, physics, and business administration at Duke University.

Dr. José A. Torres-RuizJosé A. Torres-Ruiz, Ph.D.
Torres-Ruiz is chair of the biochemistry department and associate dean for research and graduate studies at the Ponce School of Medicine.
Dr. Ruth WashingtonRuth Washington, Ph.D.
Washington is an associate professor of molecular and cell biology at the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Diedra WrightingHighlighted Profile: Diedra Wrighting, Ph.D.
Wrighting is a postdoctoral fellow at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
