Welcome to UOAA
Welcome to the United Ostomy Associations of America, the new
national organization created to fill the void left by dissolution
of the United Ostomy Association. UOAA is now a member of the
International Ostomy
Association.
What’s New at UOAA
For general information about UOAA, see
Ken Aukett's 'New Beginning'
presentation (updated Sept 2007) (Adobe PDF). UOAA is an association of
Affiliated Support Groups. UOAA
serves people with ostomies and other intestinal & urinary
diversions through its support groups, by publishing a
Quarterly Magazine, The Phoenix, by
coordinating Advocacy efforts
and holding conferences, and with services provided via this website,
such as our Discussion
Board, which has quickly developed a thriving user community.
Individuals can join UOAA by joining one of its
Affiliated Groups but cannot join
UOAA directly. Individuals are, however, welcome to
subscribe to The Phoenix magazine.
All ostomy and continent diversion support groups who haven't yet
affiliated with UOAA are welcome to join forces and
Affiliate with Us! For more information
about UOAA, please visit our About
page. You are also welcome to contact
us if you have any questions.
