Animal Models Faculty
Mission Statement
The NCI Animal Models Faculty, chaired by Glenn Merlino, Ph.D., fosters high-quality cutting-edge basic research within the NCI intramural program with respect to the creation and use of mouse and other animal models of cancer and related disorders. The Faculty's Steering Committee determines and anticipates the current and future needs of the NCI community, serves to gauge the feasibility of fulfilling such needs, and facilitates their realization.

The Animal Models Initiative (AMI) Web site highlights the efforts of this group in the areas of animal resources, training and education, imaging, technology development. This site also provides access to the NCI Intramural Animal Models Database. Click here to visit the AMI Web site.


How To Join
The Animal Models Faculty is open to all NCI cancer researchers interested in animal models.
