Dr Kavita Sharma to speak at UWC

Dr. Kavita A.Sharma is the Principal of the prestigious Hindu College in Delhi. She has wide teaching experience of thirty five years and has been exposed to different education systems having taught not only in India but also in Japan in the Tokyo Women’s Christian College and in Indonesia in Universitas Indonesia. Her lecture will focus on Acess and Equity in education.

UWC Boxing champs compete internationally

UWC boxing has a lot to celebrate this year with a very successful 2008 season. Not only are they the reigning University Sport SA (USSA) champions, they can also boast that two of their members, Lwandiso Kwababana and Konwaba Mbolekwa were included into the USSA team that recently participated at the World Student Boxing Championships in Kazan Russia.

Leading the way in water conservation

Water is one of, if not the key ingredient to sustainable life on the planet. It is therefore of utmost importance that we as a species better manage the precious clean drinking water that we have available to us.

The UNESCO Chair in Hydrogeology, on behalf of the Institute for Water Studies (IWS) at UWC, recently hosted an Integrated Water Resources Management Short Course (IWRM).
