H. R. 3235 —The Nanotechnology and New Advancement Act of 2007

On July 31, 2007, Representative Mike Honda (D-CA) introduced H.R. 3235, the Nanotechnology and New Advancement Act of 2007, a bill that would require the development of a nanotechnology research strategy that establishes research priorities for the Federal Government and industry and ensure responsible stewardship of nanotechnology. The act would establish a public-private investment partnership, raise awareness, and implement strategic policies to resolve obstacles and promote nanotechnology. H.R. 3235 was referred to the House Committees on Science and Technology, Ways and Means, Energy and Commerce, and Homeland Security.
