Biosketch:
Andrea B. Pfeffer is a program analyst in the Extramural Associates Program, Division of Special Populations, NICHD. She earned a B.S. degree in nutrition and food science from the University of Maryland. She was a home economist and a food technologist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and developed and evaluated meal plans for their nutritional content for the Food Stamp and National School Lunch Programs. Mrs. Pfeffer previously served as a management analyst with the Department of the Navy; as a technical information specialist within the NIH Office of the Director, providing biomedical indexing for the Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects System; within the NIH Office of Rare Diseases to establish a national, centralized, clinical, and informational rare disease research database. She also held the position of Thesaurus Expert and provided on-site development of disease category fingerprints for the NIH Office of the Director.
