Biosketch: 
Mark A. Klebanoff, M.D., M.P.H., is a pediatrician and epidemiologist who joined DESPR's Epidemiology Branch in 1983. He received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University and his master's degree in public health from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. His research interests span a broad range of topics in the epidemiology of maternal and child health, but focus mainly on factors associated with preterm birth and fetal growth, as well as with genital tract infections.
