Tips for TV Network Writers on Addressing Underage Drinking

To help get this issue before the public, NIAAA has teamed with the Entertainment Industries Council, Inc., to produce Spotlight on… Underage Drinking, a four-page color newsbrief for writers, producers, directors, and researchers for television programming. The newsbrief includes charts, statistics, and a summary of research studies on youth drinking.

The Entertainment Industries Council, Inc., is a non-profit organization that works to provide information and awareness of major health and social issues among the entertainment industries. It teams with representatives from the standards and practices departments of the broadcast and cable networks to ensure that information on health and social issues as portrayed in movies and television is reliable and accurate.
