S. 491—Inflammatory Bowel Disease Act

On February 27, 2003, Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) introduced S. 491, the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Act. S. 491 would promote research on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) within NIDDK. It would also establish an IBD prevention and epidemiology program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. S. 491 was referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.
